Manager, SNU Astronomy Undergraduate Research Intern Office
I served as Manager of the SNU Astronomy Undergraduate Research Intern Office (학부생 연구 인턴실) at Seoul National University. In this role I was the Head Representative of undergraduate interns in the Department of Astronomy. The position of “Head Representative” did not exist before—I was the first to take it on and later handed the role over to the next generation.
I was responsible for managing office operations and coordinating administrative affairs between the intern body and the department, and supported fellow undergraduates in their research internships.
Concrete responsibilities
Day-to-day and one-off tasks I took on included:
- Electrical and multi-tap wiring in the intern office
- Periodic cleaning of the office
- Moving and relocating items when the intern office moved to a new space
- Decorating and organizing the office
- Onboarding and orientation for new interns—welcoming newcomers and guiding them so they could use the office and join the program smoothly
I aimed to make the intern office a usable, welcoming place and to pass on a clear structure for future representatives.
