President, Korea Young Astronomers Meeting
Founded in 1991, the Korea Young Astronomers Meeting (KYAM) is the nationwide academic network for graduate students and early-career researchers in astronomy across Korea. As an Official Division of the Korean Astronomical Society (KAS), KYAM fosters exchange, collaboration, and friendship among young astronomers through workshops, general meetings, colloquia, and other community activities. Today the network has grown to nearly 300 members spanning universities and research institutes across the country.
I serve as the 25th President of KYAM, leading the organization and representing young astronomers within KAS. In this role I plan and coordinate KYAM's annual program of events, manage the executive committee, and work to build a community where young astronomers can grow together—both as scholars and as colleagues.
Recent activities under my leadership include organizing KYAM workshops and colloquium series, running the annual general meeting, and expanding outreach to new members at institutions nationwide.
